A thought has been roaming around in my brain, at first I didn’t let it get to me but as most things do this late at night it kept poking at my brain make it very hard to fall asleep, so here it is the golden question, What IS Intelligence?
I am currently taking Psychology 101 and according to my book and the inernet this is what intelligence is by definition
Rational thought and reasoning The ability to act purposefully in an environment. The ability to deal with situations, in an effective manner, within an environment. The ability to learning from experience The ability to live and cope with the demands of daily life.
I feel like I in fact do all those things, yet I find myself at a loss at times in conversations that go way over my head, so if this definition incorrect? Is there more to intelligence than these basic things? Do you get more Intelligent by learning about things unknown to you? I feel like many people confuse education with intelligence, just because you have PhD does it mean you’re more intelligent than a person who does not have one? There is way too many questions I have for my 5am empty void of a brain, but I will leave with this
